What we believe...

The foundations for faith at First CC are the Holy Bible, communion and baptism.  The Bible is the inspired Word of God, our most tangible tool to understanding God.  Communion is the cornerstone of each worship service and is open for ALL who are present.  Baptism is a public witness to a person's desire to follow Christ.  We consider all Christian baptisms as valid.   New members may join our church by simply making a statement that they have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.  If a new member makes their first confession of faith, we rejoice with them in celebration of baptism.  Historically we are a people of UNITY.  We are a diverse group of people with diverse theological understandings.  Our goal is not to judge one another, but to grow together into the fullest of what God has called us to be.
